Wipe – Dry – 拭く・乾かす の使い方
Q. Wipe は 拭く を意味しますが、牛乳をこぼした時、拭くのは 牛乳（Wipe the milk.) ですか？ 床（Wipe the floor.) ですか？
Wipe の使い方の基本
I wiped up the milk. (wipe up + 水分）
+ I wiped off the floor. (wipe off + 濡れている物）
= I wiped up the milk off the floor.
1. Wipe the floor. 床を拭く
□ wipe … を拭く
ex) Wipe the floor.
床を拭いて
□ wipe .. with … … を使って .. を拭く
ex) Wipe the floor with the cloth.
床を 布で拭いて
□ wipe … clean … を拭いて きれいにする
ex) I wiped the floor clean.
床を拭いて きれいにした
wipe /ˈwaɪp/: to clean or dry (something) by using a towel, your hand, etc.
ex) She wiped her eyes with a tissue.

牛乳を拭きとって
□ wipe up 布を使って 拭き取る
ex) Will you wipe up milk spills?
こぼれた牛乳を拭きとって
□ wipe up … off .. .. の表面から … を拭き取る
ex) I wiped the milk up off the floor.
床の上の牛乳を （布で）拭き取った
□ wipe up … on .. .. の表面の … を拭き取る
ex) Do you use your dish cloth to wipe up milk spills on the floor?
床の上の こぼれた牛乳を拭き取りますか？
□ wipe off … （布類でこすって）… をきれいにする
ex) I wiped off the floor.
床を拭いて きれいにした
ex) I wiped the milk spills off the floor.
床の上の 牛乳を拭いた
□ dry … を乾かす
ex) I’ll dry the dishes.
お皿を乾かします
□ dry off 乾く
ex) My umbrella’s drying off.
傘が 乾いている
□ dry up 完全に乾く
ex) The river is drying up.
川は 干からびかけている
